Valentines Edit /// Date Ideas and Perfect Gifts

Valentines is just over 2 weeks away and as we all probably know, NOW is the best time to start planning as things get booked up quite easily, and prices rise! Of course, we expect a  romantic date organised by the other half or someone special, however I like to surprise my boyfriend at times and plan something myself.

Last year, because of high prices and busyness around valentines, I stayed in watching cute DVDs with the other half, snacking on chocolate and popcorn, with wine and a dinner cooked by him. However, this year I fancy something different. I want to be organised and plan something special.

Quiz Clothing got in touch and wanted to know a bit about me and my perfect valentines date ideas for both couples and single ladies, so I have done a sort of Q&A session here sharing some of my ideas on how to celebrate this cute day! OK, I understand for those that are single right now, valentines might not seem so cute, but hey girlll .... celebrate this occasion right now and organise a perfect night with girls!

So here we go....
  1.  What would you do if you are celebrating with your partner?
Valentines is such a busy period for restaurants, cinemas, and city trips too! Prices of hotels become extortionate and this period is very much hyped up! However, I am all about making it special, creating memories and simply spending quality time with one another. So my PERFECT valentines date night would include a cute city trip to a beautiful city like York and meal for 2 at night!

2. What would you wear on your York city trip?
My perfect York city trip would include some comfy black skinny's, my camel coat with furr and my black floppy hat! After-all, valentines is in February so get wrapped up but still look SASSY as hell!!

3. What would you do if you’re single and celebrating with friends?
Eden Hall Spa located in Newark is one of the best spas I have been too. Admittedly, it is about an hour drive outside of Leeds (where I live right now) but out of all that I have been too this is THE best one! So i think this would be the best idea for a single valentines with the girls!

At the spa, not only do they have pools, saunas, relaxation rooms and plenty of treatments, the hot-tubs on the roof of the castle make it super special. Their evening escape deal which i think i paid around £39 was ideal. It's just a few hours at night, relaxing with the girls, and spending time in a hot-tub on the roof of a castle under the stars! Sounds amazing right!! I'm certainly hinting to go again at such a good price!!

Of course they do offer more deals including a full day spa, however I often think a full day is too much sometimes.

4. What would you wear?

I have found a lot of people feel awkward wearing bikinis at spa's but then find it is pretty normal once you get there! As it is Valentines, I would wear my trusty pink bikini from Newlook , or this simple red swimsuit from Missguided in the sale for just £14.99! Feeling like a special K lady!

    3. How would you spoil your partner/friends?

I think when it comes to valentines, it is not about expensive gits, or big items, its all about thought, something nice, memorial, or personalized. A friend of mine owns an online Facebook business personalized candles which make the perfect valentines or birthday gift. You can add any message or picture on to them to make them special and she delivers straight to you door. She charges around £5-8 per candle really cheap!! She made me think Lion King one for my dad :)

    Wax and Words

Also, another idea which i think is great and costs very little, is to make a memory jar! I recently wrote a post on how to make these yourself which you can see here

Another little treat situated in Leeds on Vicar Lane is the Handmade collective shop. here you can find cute home gifts including photographs, vintage items and chic personalized gifts which are handmade. It is great to pop in and find something cute for the other half.

I think these ideas are great for friends too! however, chocolates, a film, and a bottle of wine would be an easy simply treat for a single girl friend on valentines :)

Oh and if you can, make sure you catch Fifty Shades of Grey!! I CANT wait to see it!! week :)

    4. If you were to give your partner a mix tape for Valentine’s – which 3 songs would have to be on there?

Easy - I will Wait- Mumford and Sons, See Beneath Your Beautiful- Labrinth and Emeli Sande, and Ben E King stand by me

    5. Which are the top 3 romantic spots in your city for lovers to share a kiss?

Top of Hilton Sky-lounge Doubletree in Leeds city centre on the balcony over looking the city, The Love lock bridge called centenary bridge copied from Paris, on a boat on Clarence Dock.

For those struggling for more gift ideas for their partners for valentines, especially because men are so hard to buy for... I am currently writing up a valentines gift idea post so follow me on bloglovin and keep updated :)
