Revlon Review - Colorburst Balm Stain in Crush

When it comes to lipsticks I am very fussy on the colour! The different shades of red and pink make a huge difference and right now I am loving the more darker plum colours! Kylie Jenner absolutely ROCKS the plum lipstick and everyone is trying to find the perfect product for it!

Revlon Colorburst Balm Stain:

After doing a bit of shopping I came across Revlon Colorburst lipsticks which come in different colours! The nearest colour to plum was the product called 'Crush' and I thought I would use this multiple times for a few weeks and write a review to help you find the perfect product for Kylie Jenner plum lips.

The Review:

Revlon Colorburst in Crush was my favourite shade out of the whole range and was excited to trial this product! These lipsticks are designed like crayons and are incredibly popular at the minute. At just £7.99 each I thought they were reasonably priced too!

When applying the lipstick although I loved the twist mechanism, it did feel quite chunky meaning I wasn't in full control. However, the lipstick itself felt lovely and smooth and the finish left a slight gloss which added that 'Burst' to the lips. Although I was looking for a more 'Matte' type lipstick I really liked the gloss effect meaning I didn't have to add anything on top.

I felt the colour was a little different to the shade of the packaging and wasn't as dark plum as I hoped. As you can see in my images the colour is much more bright and pink therefore didn't think it gave me that 'Kylie Jenner plum lip look'.

I also noticed the colour fades down quite easily after eating and drinking shown in my image above. After just an hour, the colour had disappeared but left a dark ring round the edge of my lips which I thought added definition. There was for sure a bit of burst but not much colour!

Although this review may seem quite negative, I actually did like this lipstick and think it is a great day to day lipstick which adds a bit of gloss to the lips. The colour was much more pink than hoped and this is something that sits in my makeup bag all year round!

I am next going to review no.7 Sassy lipstick which has been bought for me for Christmas! I am excited about trying this as it seems a lot more plum than Revlon Crush!

Have you tried no.7 lipsticks? What do you think?

Do you recommend any perfect plum pieces to get the Kylie Jenner look???
